ABOUT US

Throughout these Terms and Conditions, “the Company” “we” “us” and “our” refer to Maxie Jaye Ltd trading as Maxi Jaye Cleaning Services.

By accessing this website or engaging our services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

SERVICES

The Company provides commercial cleaning services including but not limited to:

  • Office Cleaning
  • School Cleaning
  • Medical Cleaning
  • Surgery Cleaning
  • Communal Area Cleaning
  • Retail Cleaning
  • Gym Cleaning
  • Leisure Facilities
  • Commercial Deep Cleaning
  • After Builders Cleaning
  • Specialist Cleaning Services

QUOTATIONS

All quotations are subject to review and may require a site survey.

Quotations remain valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.

The Company reserves the right to amend quotations where information provided by the Client is inaccurate or incomplete.

CONTRACT COMMENCEMENT

A contract shall commence upon written acceptance of our quotation or upon commencement of services.

CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES

The Client agrees to:

  • Provide safe access to premises
  • Provide electricity and water where required
  • Secure valuables
  • Inform us of hazards or risks
  • Maintain safe working conditions

ACCESS, KEYS AND SECURITY

The Client may provide keys, alarm codes, fobs or access cards.

The Company shall take reasonable care of all access devices.

The Company shall not be liable for losses resulting from defective locks, alarm systems, security systems or circumstances beyond our control.

HEALTH AND SAFETY

The Company operates in accordance with current Health and Safety legislation.

Our staff reserve the right to refuse work where conditions are considered unsafe.

COSHH

All chemicals shall be used in accordance with COSHH Regulations and manufacturer guidance.

DBS AND SAFEGUARDING

Where required, staff may be DBS checked.

Schools and medical facilities may require additional safeguarding procedures.

EQUIPMENT AND CONSUMABLES

Equipment and consumables shall be supplied as agreed between the parties.

The Company accepts no responsibility for products supplied by the Client.

QUALITY CONTROL

The Company may carry out inspections, audits and supervisor visits to ensure service standards are maintained.

COMPLAINTS

Complaints must be reported within 24 hours of discovery.

The Company shall be gia reasonableven reasonable opportunity to investigate and rectify any verified issue.

RE-ATTENDANCE

Where a complaint is validated, the Company may re-attend the site to rectify the issue.

INSURANCE

The Company maintains appropriate insurance including Public Liability and Employers’ Liability Insurance.

Evidence may be provided upon request.

DAMAGE

Any alleged damage must be reported within 24 hours.

The Company shall not be liable for pre-existing damage, fair wear and tear, deterioration, faulty fixtures or defective equipment.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

The Company’s liability shall be limited to the value of the services supplied.

The Company shall not be liable for:

  • Loss of profit
  • Loss of business
  • Consequential loss
  • Indirect loss
  • Loss of contracts
  • Loss of reputation

PAYMENT TERMS

Invoices are payable within the agreed payment period stated on the invoice.

Unless otherwise agreed, invoices are payable within 14 days.

VAT

All prices are subject to VAT where applicable.

LATE PAYMENT

The Company reserves the right to charge interest and compensation in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

NON-PAYMENT

If payment is not received by the due date, the Company reserves the right to:

  • Suspend services immediately
  • Withdraw staff from site
  • Refuse future bookings
  • Recover debt recovery costs
  • Charge statutory interest
  • Commence legal proceedings

TERMINATION FOR NON-PAYMENT

The Company reserves the right to terminate services immediately where invoices remain unpaid.

The Client remains liable for all outstanding charges.

The Company shall not be responsible for any losses resulting from the suspension or termination of services due to non-payment.

PRICE REVIEWS

The Company reserves the right to review pricing due to increases in:

  • National Minimum Wage
  • National Living Wage
  • Fuel costs
  • Insurance costs
  • Product costs
  • Inflation

Reasonable notice shall be provided.

CONTRACT VARIATIONS

Changes to hours, schedules, frequencies or specifications must be agreed in writing.

STAFF NON-SOLICITATION

The Client agrees not to directly or indirectly employ, engage, contract or introduce any employee, contractor or operative supplied by the Company during the contract period or within 12 months following termination.

A recruitment fee of £5,000 plus VAT per operative shall become immediately payable in the event of a breach.

CONFIDENTIALITY

Both parties agree to keep confidential all information relating to business operations, security arrangements, pricing and procedures.

DATA PROTECTION

The Company processes personal information in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

SUBCONTRACTORS

The Company reserves the right to use approved subcontractors where necessary.

FORCE MAJEURE

The Company shall not be liable for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control including:

  • Severe weather
  • Flooding
  • Fire
  • Industrial action
  • Government restrictions
  • Public emergencies

SUSPENSION OF SERVICES

The Company reserves the right to suspend services where:

  • Invoices remain unpaid
  • Access is denied
  • Health and safety risks exist
  • Abuse or harassment towards staff occurs

TERMINATION

Either party may terminate the agreement by giving 30 days written notice unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Immediate termination may occur where:

  • Non-payment exists
  • Serious breach occurs
  • Illegal activity is suspected
  • Health and safety risks arise

STAFF ABUSE POLICY

The Company operates a zero-tolerance policy towards abuse, harassment, discrimination, threats or aggressive behaviour towards staff.

Services may be terminated immediately where such behaviour occurs.

WEBSITE USE

Users must not misuse this website, attempt unauthorised access or introduce malicious software.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All website content, branding, logos, graphics, text and documents remain the property of Maxie Jaye Ltd.

EXTERNAL LINKS

The Company accepts no responsibility for the content of third-party websites.
